Samsung: Delete an Alarm from the Clock App

When your Clock app fills up with old wake-up times, work alarms, and one-off reminders, finding the one you actually need gets tedious. A cluttered alarm list also makes it easier to accidentally leave an unwanted alarm active, which can go off at the worst moment. Clearing out unused alarms keeps your morning routine predictable.

Delete an Alarm auf Samsung

A growing alarm list is a common side effect of testing different wake-up times or setting one-off reminders that never get removed. On Samsung phones running Samsung One UI on Android, the Clock app keeps every alarm you have ever created until you delete it manually.

Old or duplicate alarms are not just visual clutter. A leftover alarm from a past schedule can still trigger even if you thought you disabled it, especially if you only toggled it off instead of removing it. Deleting alarms you no longer need is the more reliable fix compared to just switching them off.

How to remove an alarm

Open the Clock app, then go to the Alarm tab where all your saved alarms are listed. Tap and hold the alarm you want to remove until selection mode appears, then tap Delete to confirm.

This removes the alarm completely, so it will not reappear after a restart or system update. If you only need to pause an alarm temporarily, turning off its switch is faster and keeps the entry for later use.

For recurring alarms tied to specific weekdays, deleting removes all future occurrences at once. There is no way to delete just a single future instance of a repeating alarm without removing the whole entry.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. In the Alarm tab, tap and hold one alarm until checkboxes appear, then tap the additional alarms you want to remove before confirming with Delete.
