Delete an Album in the Gallery App auf Samsung
Deleting an album in the Samsung Gallery app is not the same as hiding it. The album and every photo or video stored inside are removed from the device at the same time.
This matters because Gallery organizes content by album, but the actual files live in device storage. Removing the album removes its files too, unless Trash is active to catch them first.
Menu path
Open Tap on Gallery ➔ Tap on Albums ➔ Tap and hold an Album ➔ Tap on Delete ➔ Tap on Move to Trash.
Holding down on the album triggers selection mode, so make sure you have the right album selected before confirming the delete action.
Trash changes the outcome
With Trash enabled, deleted albums move there first and can be restored for a limited time before they are removed permanently. Without Trash, the delete action is immediate and final.
System albums such as Camera or Screenshots do not offer a delete option, since they are tied to core device functions. If you only want to remove a few photos rather than the whole album, delete those items individually instead of the entire album.
