Samsung: Delete a Calendar Event from the Calendar App

Cancelled appointments and outdated entries stay visible in the Samsung Calendar until you remove them manually. Old events pile up in the daily view and make it harder to spot what is actually still coming up. Deleting a single entry does not affect any other appointments stored in the calendar.

Delete a Calendar Event auf Samsung

The Samsung Calendar keeps every entry you create, including appointments that have already passed or been cancelled. Nothing gets removed automatically, so old events stay in the daily view until you delete them yourself.

This applies to single entries as well as entries created from calls or messages that got added to your calendar. The delete function sits directly inside the event details, not in a separate cleanup menu.

To remove an entry, open Calendar ➔ select the day of the event ➔ tap the event ➔ tap Delete ➔ choose an option.

The last step matters if the event repeats. You can usually pick between removing only that single occurrence or the entire series, depending on how the event was set up.

Deleting an event only removes it from your own calendar. If the appointment was shared or synced with another account, check that account separately if the entry keeps reappearing.

If entries return after deletion, a sync with a connected account, like Google Calendar, is usually pushing the data back. In that case, remove the event from the source account too, or pause sync for that calendar before deleting.

Frequently asked questions

The Samsung Calendar app deletes one event at a time through Delete ➔ choose an option. There is no built-in multi-select delete for several events.
