Turn On/Off Device Administrators auf Samsung
Device administrator rights give an app permissions that go far beyond a normal install. An app with this status can enforce screen lock rules, wipe the device remotely, or block its own uninstallation until the permission is removed first.
This is why security tools (antivirus, anti-theft, Find My Device) and management apps (Child Account, company MDM profiles) request this access. Without it, they cannot protect the device or enforce the restrictions they promise.
On Samsung phones running One UI, this list is separate from regular app permissions and hides a level deeper in the security settings. That is also why many users cannot find where to switch it off when an app misbehaves or was installed by mistake.
Where to manage it
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Biometrics and security ➔ Tap on Other security settings ➔ Tap on Device admin apps ➔ Turn On/Off an App.
Turning an entry off removes its elevated rights immediately, which usually makes uninstalling the app possible right after. Keep in mind that disabling this for a legitimate security or parental control app also disables the protection it was set up to provide.
