Edit a Saved Contact's Details auf Samsung
Contact details rarely stay accurate forever. A new phone number, a changed email address, or an updated job title all mean the existing entry needs an update, not a replacement.
Deleting a contact and re-adding it looks like the quick fix, but it detaches that person's call log entries, favorites status, and any linked message threads. Samsung's Contacts app avoids that entirely by letting you jump straight into a single field and change only what is wrong.
Menu path
Tap on Contacts ➔ Choose a Contact ➔ Tap on Edit ➔ Select a Detail field or tap on View more ➔ Enter the Corresponding data and tap Save
The View more option matters if the field you need is not shown by default, for example a second phone number, a nickname, or a company field. Once the correct field is visible, overwrite the old value and confirm with Save.
If the contact is synced from an account like Google, the change syncs back automatically after saving. If it is a locally stored contact, the update stays only on the device.
