Turn Edge Panels On or Off auf Samsung
The Edge panels feature adds a slim handle to the screen border that opens a side panel with apps, contacts or tools when you pull it inward. Samsung enables this handle by default on most One UI devices, which is why it shows up even if you never use the panels.
The handle sits on top of whatever app is running, so it can trigger accidental swipes in games or full-screen video. Disabling Edge panels removes the handle completely and frees up that screen edge for normal touch input.
To turn the feature on or off, go to Settings ➔ Display ➔ Edge panels and use the toggle at the top of that screen. The same switch works to turn the panels back on later if you decide you want quick access to apps or tools again.
If the handle is still visible after switching the toggle off, check whether a second user profile or a launcher app added its own edge gesture. In that case the fix sits outside the Edge panels settings and needs to be handled in the other app or profile.
Turning Edge panels off does not remove any installed panel content. It only hides the handle and blocks the swipe gesture, so re-enabling the toggle brings back the exact panels you had configured before.
