Group Albums into Folders auf Samsung
Samsung Gallery treats albums as flat entries by default. Once you create more than a handful, the overview gets crowded, especially when several albums belong to the same event or category.
Grouping solves this by turning one album into a container for others. A typical example is a main album called Kindergarten holding sub-albums per month, such as Kindergarten - May.
To create a group, open Gallery and tap Albums. Tap and hold the album you want to nest, then drag it directly on top of the album that should become the main folder.
Release the album only when you see an orange border around the target album, confirming the drop will merge them. A prompt then asks for a group name before you tap Create.
This works for photo albums, video albums, and mixed media albums alike, since Gallery does not distinguish file type when grouping. Nothing gets deleted or duplicated during the process, only the album structure changes.
If you only need to rename or reorder albums without nesting them, grouping is unnecessary and a plain rename is faster.
