Hide the Camera Cutout in Full-Screen Apps auf Samsung
The camera cutout on Samsung phones sits inside the display area, so any app running in full-screen mode has to leave room for it. Some apps do this automatically, others stretch their layout right across the housing, turning the cutout into a distracting black block over photos, videos, menus or game UI elements.
Samsung controls this behaviour through the full-screen app manager. You decide per app, or globally through the advanced option, whether the system should mask the cutout area with a black bar so it visually merges with the status bar instead of interrupting the content.
To change it, open Settings ➔ Display ➔ Full screen apps ➔ open the menu ➔ Advanced settings, then enable or disable Hide camera cutout.
Turning the option on covers the cutout for every app that was previously stretching behind it. Turning it off is useful if you prefer maximum screen usage and do not mind the occasional black bar in specific games or media apps.
If a single app still shows the cutout incorrectly after enabling this, that app may control its own full-screen behaviour and ignore the system setting. In that case check the app's own display or aspect-ratio options first.
