Hide Notification Pop-ups in Do Not Disturb auf Samsung
Do Not Disturb on Samsung phones silences sounds and vibration, but it does not automatically hide notification banners, icons, or lock screen previews. That is a separate setting, and it explains why your screen keeps lighting up even though the phone stays quiet.
Which setting controls this
The visual side of notifications is managed inside the Do Not Disturb settings themselves, under a dedicated hide option. From there you decide whether all notifications disappear from the screen or only certain categories, like messages or app alerts, while others stay visible.
Open Settings ➔ Notifications ➔ Do not disturb ➔ Hide notifications. Toggle Hide all to suppress every visual notification while Do Not Disturb is active, or switch off single notification categories individually if you only want to mute specific apps.
When to use this instead of app-level mute
This setting only takes effect while Do Not Disturb is running. If you want an app permanently silent regardless of Do Not Disturb, mute it directly in the app notification settings instead. Hiding notifications here is best when you want a distraction-free screen during specific hours or events, without changing permanent notification behavior for each app.
