Lock Network and Security Setting auf Samsung
Samsung phones can switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data automatically once the screen locks, mainly to save battery. This becomes a problem if the device gets lost or stolen, because Find My Mobile relies on an active connection to locate, ring, or lock it remotely.
The Lock network and security option stops the system from cutting that connection while the screen is off. With it enabled, Wi-Fi and mobile data stay active behind the lock screen, so Find My Mobile can still reach the device.
Where to find the setting
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Lock screen ➔ Tap on Secure lock settings ➔ Enter the current Pattern, PIN or Password ➔ Enable or disable Lock network and security.
You need to confirm your current screen lock credential before the toggle becomes accessible, since this setting sits under secure lock settings.
Keep in mind that leaving the connection active while locked uses slightly more battery over a full day. If tracking a lost device matters more to you than squeezing out extra battery life, enable the option. If battery runtime is the priority and Find My Mobile is not a concern, you can leave it disabled.
