Turn Off Mirror Effect for Selfies auf Samsung
By default, Samsung phones save front camera photos exactly as they appear in the preview. That means text on clothing, watches on the wrong wrist, or asymmetrical hairstyles show up mirrored in the final photo, even though this matches what you saw while framing the shot.
This behavior is controlled by a single toggle called Save selfies as previewed. When enabled, the saved photo keeps the mirrored orientation from the preview. When disabled, the camera flips the image back to the natural, non-mirrored orientation before saving, so text and logos read correctly.
How to change it
Open Camera ➔ tap the gear icon to open Settings ➔ find Save selfies as previewed and toggle it on or off.
Turn the option on if you prefer selfies that match exactly what you see in the viewfinder, which feels more natural since it mirrors how you view yourself in a mirror. Turn it off if you need accurate text, logos, or symmetry for professional or social use.
This setting only affects the front camera and does not change video call behavior or how the camera app displays your preview live. It applies only to how the final image file gets saved.
