Move Photos and Videos to an Album auf Samsung
Samsung Gallery sorts photos and videos by date and source by default, so shots taken with your camera end up mixed with screenshots and downloaded files. Moving files into a dedicated album keeps related content together without using extra storage, while copying keeps the original file in place and adds a second copy to the target album.
To move or copy files, open Gallery and tap and hold a photo or video until it becomes selected. Tap any additional photos or videos you want to include, then tap More at the bottom of the screen. Choose Copy to album or Move to album depending on whether you want to keep the original file where it is. Finally, pick the target album from the list, or create a new one if none fits.
Moving files removes them from their original album, which matters if that album is tied to a device folder such as Camera or Screenshots. Copying instead duplicates the file, so it uses additional storage space and shows up in two places at once.
If you only want certain images out of the main Gallery view without changing where the file physically lives, using Gallery's Hide option or a secret folder is usually the better fix, since it does not move or duplicate anything.
