Turn On/Off Accidental Touch Protection auf Samsung
Accidental touch protection is a system-level filter built into the display driver of Samsung phones. It blocks touch input when the sensor detects the screen is covered or in a dark space, such as a pocket or bag, preventing pocket dials, unintended app launches, or stray button presses.
When this feature is disabled or never turned on, a brief screen wake caused by pressing the power button in your pocket can register as a real tap. That is why you might find call logs to random contacts or messages you never meant to send.
To turn it on or off, go to Settings ➔ Display ➔ Accidental touch protection. Toggle the switch on to activate the filter, or off to disable it.
Turning the feature off can help if you use the phone in low light and notice that legitimate taps get ignored. Check your case or screen protector first, since thick covers can trigger false readings even with the sensor working correctly.
Side effect: with protection enabled, taps made through a thick screen protector or certain cases might occasionally be missed even when intentional. If you notice blocked taps rather than accidental ones, disable the feature temporarily to confirm the cause.
