Rename an Album in Gallery auf Samsung
Not every album in the Samsung Gallery can be renamed. System-managed albums such as Camera, Screenshots or Downloads keep their fixed name because they are tied directly to a folder the system uses internally. Albums you created yourself, or albums that an app generates automatically, are regular folders and can be renamed at any time.
To rename an album, open Gallery ➔ Albums and choose the album you want to change. Tap on Menu, then select Rename. Enter the new name and confirm with Rename again.
If the Rename option does not appear for a specific album, the album is most likely a protected system folder rather than a bug. This affects storage-critical folders like Camera or Downloads across every phone running Samsung One UI.
Renaming an album only changes the display name in Gallery. The underlying folder path on the device storage stays the same, so other apps that reference that folder are not affected by the change.
