Reset App Preferences auf Samsung
When several Samsung apps start behaving oddly at the same time - notifications go quiet, a link opens in the wrong app, or a permission suddenly blocks a feature - a setting change buried somewhere in the system is usually the cause.
Samsung groups five app-related settings under one function: disabled apps, notification permissions, default (standard) app assignments, background data restrictions, and app permissions. Resetting app preferences puts all five back to their original state in one action, without touching accounts, files, or app data.
To reset app preferences, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Reset app preferences ➔ Tap on Reset.
After confirming, previously disabled apps turn back on, blocked notification channels reactivate, default app choices for links and files clear so the system asks again next time, background data limits lift, and permission grants tied to apps return to their default state.
Use this reset when multiple apps show unrelated issues and you cannot identify which setting caused it. If only one specific app misbehaves, clearing that app's cache or storage from its own app info page is usually faster and more targeted.
