Restore Secure Folder Backup auf Samsung
Secure Folder keeps its backup separate from your regular Samsung Cloud data, so a normal device restore does not bring back the apps and files stored inside it.
Samsung uploads Secure Folder content to a dedicated cloud slot once you enable backup inside the folder. To pull that data onto a device, Secure Folder needs an active internet connection and the restore has to be triggered manually - it never runs automatically during setup.
To bring the backup back, open Secure Folder ➔ tap the Menu icon ➔ go to Settings ➔ select Backup and restore ➔ tap Restore ➔ pick the source device and the specific content, then confirm with Restore.
You do not need to restore everything at once. Selecting only the apps or files you actually use keeps storage use low and finishes the process faster.
If the Restore option stays inactive, check that Wi-Fi or mobile data is working and that you are signed into the same Samsung account used for the original backup.
This method only restores Secure Folder content. Use the general Samsung Cloud restore instead if you need data from outside the folder, such as home screen apps or the gallery.
