Turn Samsung Free On or Off on the Home Screen auf Samsung
Samsung Free, previously known as Samsung Daily and built on Bixby Home, sits on its own panel to the left of your main home screen. It shows a news feed and a row of instant games that run without installation, using extra system resources in the background.
Because this panel is a separate screen rather than a widget, there is no icon for it in the app drawer. The toggle lives in the home screen edit menu instead.
To reach it, Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen ➔ Swipe left to first page ➔ Enable or disable Samsung Free. This switch works the same way in both directions: turning it off removes the whole panel from your swipe gesture, turning it on brings back the news and games page.
Switching Samsung Free off can help with battery life, since the feed stops refreshing content in the background. It also removes one more panel from your swipe navigation, which some people find distracting.
If you only want to stop seeing suggested articles without losing the panel completely, check the content settings inside Samsung Free itself before disabling it here. That keeps the shortcut available while trimming what shows up on it.
