Search for a Word in a Message Conversation auf Samsung
Long SMS or chat threads on Samsung phones make it hard to spot one specific detail, whether that is a phone number, an address or a single word someone mentioned weeks ago. Scrolling manually is slow and easy to overshoot. The Messages app has a built-in search that works inside a single conversation instead of across your whole inbox.
You only need one letter to start narrowing down results, though a full word gives more precise matches. Every hit gets a white background so it stands out against the rest of the conversation, and virtual arrows let you jump between matches in either direction.
How to search inside a conversation
Tap on Messages ➔ Choose a Conversation ➔ Tap on Search ➔ Enter a Keyword and tap Search ➔ Tap the Virtual arrows to browse the results
This search stays local to the open conversation. If you are trying to find a message but do not remember which contact sent it, this method will not help since it does not search across all threads at once.
If the conversation contains hundreds of messages, narrowing the keyword to something specific, like a full phone number instead of a single digit, speeds up finding the right match.
