Turn Diagnostic Data Sharing On or Off auf Samsung
Samsung collects diagnostic data to identify crashes, app errors, and unusual battery or performance behavior. This happens through a background service built into Samsung One UI, independent of the app store or any specific app.
When the feature is active, your phone periodically sends error reports and usage statistics to Samsung. No personal files or messages are included, but the transfer can use mobile data if Wi-Fi is unavailable and may show up in your data usage stats.
Turning it off does not affect app performance or updates. It only stops the phone from sending these background reports, which can be useful if you want tighter control over what leaves your device.
Where to find the setting
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Privacy ➔ Enable or disable Send diagnostic data ➔ Select or deselect the desired Options and tap OK.
Some Samsung devices show separate toggles for different report types, such as app crash reports or general usage data. Review each option before confirming, since deselecting all of them fully disables the feature.
If you later run into unexplained crashes, re-enabling this setting temporarily can help Samsung support diagnose the issue faster, since some troubleshooting steps rely on these background reports.
