Set Default Home Screen Panel auf Samsung
On Samsung phones, the Home button in the navigation bar does not always return you to your main app grid. If Samsung Daily is active, the system treats that panel as the default Home screen page, so every tap on the Home button lands there first.
This behavior comes from a separate default-panel setting that is independent from which panel you see right after unlocking the phone. You can override it and choose any existing Home screen panel, including a plain grid without widgets, as the one the Home button opens.
How to change the default panel
Touch and hold a free area on the Home screen to enter edit mode: Tap and hold a free area on Home screen. Swipe left or right to browse through your existing panels: Swipe to browse the Home screens. Once the panel you want is centered, tap the button below it: Tap on Default Home screen. A star icon confirms which panel now acts as default.
If none of your panels feel right for this role, consider removing Samsung Daily instead, which removes its panel entirely. That approach works better if you never use the Samsung Daily feed and prefer one less screen to swipe through.
