Turn Speak Passwords On or Off in TalkBack auf Samsung
TalkBack reads out every letter you type on the keyboard, which helps confirm you tapped the right key.
Password fields work differently. By default, TalkBack stays silent while you type a password, so nobody nearby can hear your credentials spoken aloud.
If you want TalkBack to announce password characters too, for example when you are alone and want the same feedback you get in regular text fields, you can switch this behavior on.
The option sits inside the TalkBack settings, not the general Accessibility menu:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on TalkBack ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Speak passwords
Turning the switch on makes TalkBack read out each character as you type it into a password field, matching how it handles other text input. Turning it off restores the silent behavior for passwords while normal read-aloud feedback keeps working everywhere else.
Leave the setting off if you regularly enter passwords in public or shared spaces. Switch it on only when you need audible confirmation of every character, for instance to catch typos in a password with mixed case and symbols.
