Manage Special App Access Permissions auf Samsung
Samsung splits app permissions into two groups. Standard permissions cover things like storage, camera, or contacts and show up in one shared list. Special accesses work differently: each one is a distinct system-level toggle that only a subset of apps request, such as unrestricted background battery use or device administrator rights.
When an app misbehaves - draining battery in the background, refusing to send notifications on time, or blocking an uninstall - the cause is often one of these special accesses, not a missing standard permission. Optimize battery usage decides whether an app can run freely in the background or gets restricted by the system to save power. Device admin app grants an app control-level rights, often used by corporate profiles or security tools, which is also why some apps cannot be removed until this access is revoked first.
To review or change these settings, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Special access ➔ Choose a Special access to manage it. Each entry lists every app currently using that specific access, letting you enable or disable it individually.
If an app still misbehaves after adjusting a special access, check its standard permissions or reinstall the app instead, since the issue may sit elsewhere.
