Adjust Touch and Hold Delay auf Samsung
If long presses on your Samsung phone trigger too early or take too long to register, the touch and hold delay is likely set to the wrong value. This setting controls how long you need to keep your finger on the screen before the system counts it as a hold gesture instead of a regular tap.
The feature sits inside the accessibility settings because it was originally built to help people with limited dexterity avoid accidental long presses. A short delay reacts almost instantly, which is useful if you rely on drag-and-drop for app icons or files. A longer delay gives you more time before the hold gesture fires, reducing accidental drags when you just meant to tap.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Interaction and dexterity ➔ Touch and hold delay and pick Short, Medium, Long or Custom. The custom option lets you fine-tune the exact timing instead of choosing a preset.
If your problem is actually about the on-screen keyboard reacting slowly, or about a specific app misreading gestures, this system-wide delay will not fix it - check the app or keyboard settings instead. Changing the delay affects every app on the device, including the home screen and file manager, so test a longer setting for a day before committing to it.
