Add Trusted Devices for Smart Lock auf Samsung
Smart Lock keeps a Samsung phone unlocked while it stays connected to a Bluetooth accessory you have marked as trusted. Without an added device, the system always falls back to Pattern, PIN or Password, even if you are sitting in your own car or wearing your own headphones.
Trusted devices can be car radios, headphones, smartwatches, TVs or navigation systems. As soon as the connection to one of these drops, the phone locks again on its own, so the convenience only applies while the accessory is actually paired and in range.
Menu path
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Lock screen ➔ Tap on Smart Lock ➔ Enter the current Pattern, PIN or Password ➔ Tap on Trusted devices ➔ Tap on Add trusted device and follow the instructions on screen.
Smart Lock only reduces friction on the lock screen. It does not replace Bluetooth pairing itself, so the accessory has to be paired with the phone first before it shows up on the list. If you share the car or the headphones with someone else, skip this feature and stick to Pattern, PIN or Password, since anyone connected to that device could unlock the phone the same way.
