Add Trusted Places for Smart Lock auf Samsung
Unlocking your phone every time you walk into the house or reach the office gets tiring fast. Smart Lock's Trusted places feature skips the PIN, pattern, or password screen whenever your Samsung device detects it is inside a saved location.
The feature relies on your phone's location services, combining GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile network data to estimate where you are. Because of that, the trusted radius around a saved address is roughly 80 meters rather than an exact building outline, so the phone may stay unlocked slightly past your front door or lock again before you reach your desk.
To add a location, open Settings ➔ Lock screen ➔ Smart Lock, confirm your current Pattern, PIN, or Password, then tap Trusted places ➔ Add trusted place and follow the on-screen instructions to pin the address.
You can add as many places as you need, such as home, office, or a relative's house, each with its own radius. If Smart Lock unlocks the phone outside the area you expect, check that location accuracy is set to high and that Wi-Fi scanning is turned on, since both improve how precisely the trusted radius is calculated.
Trusted places works best for fixed, regularly visited locations. For a one-off stay somewhere new, like a hotel, another Smart Lock option is a better fit, since setting up a temporary trusted place is not practical.
