Vibration Alert for Missed Calls and Messages on Pickup auf Samsung
Samsung phones can give a short vibration the moment you pick them up if a call or message came in while the screen was off. This relies on the motion sensor rather than the notification sound settings, so it works even with the ringer muted.
To turn it on or off, go to Settings ➔ Advanced features ➔ Motions and gestures ➔ Enable or disable Alert when phone picked up. Once enabled, the phone checks for unread calls or messages every time it detects being lifted from a flat surface.
When this helps
It is useful if you regularly leave your phone lying on a desk or nightstand and want a quick physical cue without checking the screen each time.
When another setting fits better
If you need alerts while the phone stays untouched, sound or screen-based notifications under your messaging or phone app are the better fit, since the pickup vibration only fires on physical movement.
The feature has no noticeable effect on battery life, since it uses the same motion sensor already active for other gestures. Disabling it does not affect other options inside Motions and gestures.
