Can I save more than one VPN profile at the same time?

Yes. Every profile you add through VPN ➔ Add VPN profile stays in the list, and you can switch between a work profile and a private one without re-entering the data each time.

Why is the Add VPN profile option greyed out?

This usually happens when a device policy from a work profile or MDM restricts manual VPN entries. In that case the profile has to be pushed by the administrator instead of added locally.

The VPN connects but websites still show my real location. What is wrong?

Some apps and browsers cache location or DNS results from before the VPN was active. Close the app fully and reopen it, or clear the browser cache, after confirming the VPN toggle under Connections ➔ More connection settings ➔ VPN is active.

Samsung phones do not come with a built-in VPN provider. Every profile - whether for a company network or a commercial VPN service - has to be entered manually with the server address, protocol type, and login data from your provider.

The relevant function sits inside the network connectivity manager, grouped together with mobile data and Wi-Fi settings rather than as a standalone app. Without a saved profile, apps that expect a VPN tunnel simply fail to authenticate, and regular browsing traffic stays unencrypted on open networks.

Open Settings ➔ Connections ➔ More connection settings ➔ VPN. Tap the menu icon in the top corner and select Add VPN profile. Enter the corresponding data - name, server address, VPN type, and credentials supplied by your provider or IT department - then tap Save.

Once saved, the profile appears in the VPN list and can be switched on per connection. If you only need to unblock a single app rather than encrypt all traffic, an app-level proxy is usually lighter on battery than a full VPN tunnel.
