Send a Text Message (SMS/MMS) auf Samsung
Samsung Messages sends plain text as SMS, capped at 160 characters per segment. Longer texts still arrive as one message on the recipient's screen, but they are transmitted as several linked SMS parts, which can affect cost depending on your plan.
Adding a photo, video, or long attachment automatically switches the conversation to MMS. This is why a message that sent fine as plain text suddenly needs a data or MMS connection once you attach media.
To write and send a message, tap Messages then choose an existing conversation or tap Add conversation. Tap Add, select a Contact, and confirm with Done. Enter your text in the message field.
To attach a photo or video, tap Gallery, select the file, then tap Send. The app converts the message to MMS the moment you add media, so make sure mobile data or Wi-Fi is active if MMS over Wi-Fi is not supported by your carrier.
If a message repeatedly fails to send, check your signal, confirm the recipient's number is entered correctly, and verify that MMS settings are configured for your carrier.
