Add a Bookmark to the Home Screen auf Xiaomi
Bookmarks in Mi Browser stay inside the app by default. Xiaomi does not convert a saved link into a home screen icon on its own, so a bookmark and a shortcut are two separate things on MIUI.
To turn a saved site into a tappable icon, open Mi Browser ➔ Bookmark ➔ Edit ➔ Select Home screen ➔ Tap on OK. This creates a static icon on your home screen that opens the page directly, without loading the bookmark list first.
The new icon behaves like any other home screen shortcut. You can move it, drop it into a folder, or remove it with a long press. Removing the icon does not delete the bookmark itself, since both are stored separately in Mi Browser.
This method only works for pages already saved as bookmarks in Mi Browser. If a different app is your default browser, look for a similar Add to Home screen option in that browser's own menu, since the steps above are specific to Mi Browser.
Each shortcut points to a fixed web address. If a website restructures its pages later, the shortcut can end up pointing to an outdated or broken link, so it is worth checking older shortcuts from time to time.
