Xiaomi: Add Apps to Game Turbo Manually

When a freshly installed game does not show up in Game Turbo, the automatic detection has missed it. This also happens with non-gaming apps you want to run under Game Turbo performance settings. Manually adding the app closes that gap without waiting for a system scan.

Add Games or Apps to Game Turbo Manually auf Xiaomi

Game Turbo on Xiaomi phones scans installed apps and adds recognized games automatically. New releases, beta versions or apps outside the usual gaming category are sometimes skipped by this detection.

If an app is missing, you can add it yourself instead of waiting for the next automatic scan. This also lets you apply Game Turbo features, such as performance profiles or notification blocking, to apps that are not games at all.

Menu path to add an app

Open SettingsSpecial featuresGame Turbo. Tap Add to see a list of installed apps that are not yet part of Game Turbo.

Select the app you want and confirm. It now appears in the Game Turbo list, and you can turn its Game Turbo features on or off from there.

If an app still refuses to show up in the Add list, check whether it was installed from outside the usual app store or runs in a restricted mode. Some system apps and pre-installed tools are excluded by design and cannot be added.

Removing an app from Game Turbo works the same way: open the app entry inside Game Turbo and disable it instead of uninstalling anything.

Frequently asked questions

Automatic detection relies on app category tags and package information. Sideloaded apps, beta builds or apps installed from sources other than the default store are sometimes not tagged as games, so they need to be added manually through SettingsSpecial featuresGame TurboAdd.
