Set Up an App Timer auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones do not limit app usage on their own. MIUI's Digital Wellbeing & parental controls feature tracks how long you use each app, but it stays passive until you set a manual timer for the apps you actually want to control.
An App Timer works per app, not system-wide. Once the daily limit you configure is reached, MIUI stops or pauses that specific app for the rest of the day, while every other app keeps running normally.
How to set the timer
Open Settings ➔ Digital Wellbeing & parental controls ➔ Dashboard ➔ Timer. Pick the app you want to limit, set a daily usage time, then confirm with Set the App timer and tap OK.
The limit resets automatically at midnight, so the setup only needs to happen once per app.
If your goal is to block an app entirely instead of limiting its usage time, App Lock or a parental control profile fits better. One side effect to expect: once the limit runs out, MIUI closes the app forcibly, which can interrupt unsaved game progress or an unfinished chat message.
