Assign a Photo to a Contact auf Xiaomi
Contacts without a picture keep showing a plain initial circle in the phone app, on call screens, and inside Messages. MIUI stores contact photos separately from the general gallery, so saving an image to your gallery does not automatically attach it to a contact.
To assign an existing photo, open Contacts and tap the entry you want to update. Tap Edit contact, then choose Add Photo. Instead of taking a new shot, tap Choose photo to browse your saved images.
Pick the picture you want to use from your albums. Adjust the crop and zoom on the next screen, then confirm with OK. Tap Save to write the change to the contact.
The new photo now appears on incoming calls, in the recent calls list, and next to messages from that contact. If the photo still does not show up during calls, check whether the contact is duplicated - a second, photo-less entry with the same number can override the display on some call screens.
Taking a new photo instead of choosing one works the same way, just tap Take photo at the same step. This guide covers using an already saved image, which is faster whenever the picture already exists on the device.
