Turn On or Off the Pop-up Blocker auf Xiaomi
Mi Browser on Xiaomi phones blocks pop-up windows by default. That setting stops most banner ads and unwanted overlay windows from opening while you browse, but it can also hide content that a site deliberately opens in a separate pop-up, such as a payment form, a login window or a file download link.
The toggle sits inside the browser's advanced settings, separate from the general Android permission system. Switching it off does not change any app-level permission and only affects pages loaded inside Mi Browser itself.
To change it, open Mi Browser and tap your profile icon. Go to Settings, then open Advanced. There you find the Block pop-ups switch, which you can turn on or off.
Turn it off only while you need a specific pop-up window from a trusted site. Leaving it off long-term brings back the same banner ads and redirect pop-ups the setting was built to stop. If a single site keeps misbehaving even with the blocker enabled, clearing that site's browsing data or checking for a browser update usually solves the problem faster than leaving pop-ups unblocked everywhere.
