Turn On or Off Bluetooth Tethering auf Xiaomi
Bluetooth tethering shares your Xiaomi phone's mobile data connection with another device over a paired Bluetooth link instead of a USB cable or Wi-Fi hotspot. It is useful when the receiving device, such as an older laptop, has no free USB port or when you want to avoid running a personal Wi-Fi hotspot for a single connected device.
The toggle for this function is not inside the general Bluetooth settings. It sits inside the hotspot area of the system settings, which is why it is easy to overlook.
Where to find the toggle
Open Settings ➔ Portable hotspot. Inside this menu you find the switch to enable or disable Bluetooth tethering. Turning it on makes the phone available as a Bluetooth internet source for any device already paired with it.
Once enabled, pair or reconnect the other device via Bluetooth and select the internet access option on that device to start using the connection.
When USB tethering is the better choice
Bluetooth tethering transfers data slower than USB tethering and adds extra battery drain from the active Bluetooth radio. If the target device has a working USB port, USB tethering gives a faster and more stable connection with less impact on battery life.
