Change Camera Photo Frame Ratio auf Xiaomi
The Xiaomi camera app opens in a 4:3 photo frame because that ratio keeps the full sensor area and produces higher-detail stills. That format leaves empty space on the sides when you connect the phone to a TV or run a slideshow on a widescreen monitor, since 4:3 does not match the 16:9 panel shape.
Switching to 16:9 crops the top and bottom of the frame to match widescreen displays, so photos fill the screen without black bars. A 1:1 frame instead crops the sides for a square image, which suits profile pictures or square social media posts.
The frame option lives inside the camera settings, not the main gallery or display settings. Open the path: Tap on Camera ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Set the Camera frame and pick 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9.
The setting only applies to new shots taken after the change; existing photos keep their original frame. Switching to 16:9 slightly reduces the usable sensor area compared to 4:3, so pick 4:3 again for print-quality shots.
