Show or Hide Carrier Name on Lock Screen auf Xiaomi
The carrier name on a Xiaomi lock screen comes from a single status bar setting inside MIUI. It pulls the operator label directly from your active SIM card and displays it near the clock whenever the phone is locked.
Some users disable it because they do not want a stranger picking up the phone to see which network they use. Others rely on it to quickly confirm which SIM is active on a dual-SIM device without unlocking.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Notifications & Control center ➔ Status bar and switch the toggle for Show carrier when device is locked. Turning it off removes the operator text but keeps the rest of the lock screen layout untouched. Turning it on brings the label back immediately, no restart needed.
This setting is unrelated to airplane mode or signal strength icons, so hiding the carrier name does not affect connectivity or notifications. If the toggle looks greyed out, check that a SIM card is actually inserted and detected, since MIUI only shows the option when it has a carrier name to display.
A system update or a full reset can reset this toggle to its default state, which is why the label sometimes reappears without you changing anything.
