Change SIM Card Name auf Xiaomi
When a Xiaomi phone runs in Dual SIM mode, both cards often show the same carrier name in the status bar and in the dialer. This gets confusing fast if both SIMs belong to the same provider or if you use one number for work and one for personal calls. MIUI lets you replace that generic label with a custom name, without touching any network or APN settings.
The rename only changes the label shown across the system. Calls, texts, and mobile data still route through the same SIM slot and carrier as before. This makes it a safe change if you just want clarity, not a fix for connection or signal problems.
Menu path to rename a SIM
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on SIM cards & mobile networks ➔ Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM) ➔ Tap on Edit SIM card name ➔ Enter a Name and tap OK
Repeat the same steps for the second SIM slot if you want both cards labeled clearly. The new name appears immediately in the SIM picker, in call and message apps, and in the mobile data settings.
