Change App Lock Password Type auf Xiaomi
App lock on Xiaomi phones ties a separate unlock method to individual apps, independent from the main screen lock. Whichever type you chose first, pattern, PIN, or password, gets stored by the App lock feature and can be replaced without turning protection off.
To switch it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Tap on App lock ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Change password type. From there, Choose Pattern, PIN or Password and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the switch.
You will normally be asked to enter your current App lock credential before the new one can be set. This confirms it is really you making the change, not someone who picked up an unlocked phone.
Switching the type does not touch your main screen lock or your Mi Account password. If your goal is to remove App lock entirely instead of changing its type, do that from the same App lock menu rather than here.
A password is generally the hardest to guess by shoulder-surfing, a PIN is quicker to enter, and a pattern is fastest but easiest for someone nearby to observe. Pick based on how often you unlock protected apps in public.
