Change Camera Picture Quality auf Xiaomi
The MIUI camera app stores every photo at a fixed quality level until you change it manually. This setting controls the compression and resolution the camera uses when saving JPG files, which directly affects both image sharpness and file size.
A High setting keeps maximum detail for prints or cropping, but each photo can take up several megabytes. Standard reduces file size noticeably with only a small loss in visible sharpness on a phone screen. Low is useful when storage is nearly full or when you mainly send photos through messaging apps that compress images anyway.
Where to change it
Open the camera app and go to Tap on Camera ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Picture quality ➔ Set High, Standard or Low.
The change applies immediately to new photos. Pictures you already took keep their original quality, so lowering the setting will not shrink existing files.
If your priority is video rather than photos, this setting has no effect on recording resolution or frame rate, since video quality is controlled separately.
