Change Wallpaper on Home Screen auf Xiaomi
The tap-and-hold gesture on the home screen only shows a limited wallpaper picker built into the launcher. It skips your own photo folders and only surfaces a curated selection.
Going through the display settings instead gives you direct access to your gallery structure, so you can pick any saved photo rather than one of the presets.
To do this, open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Wallpaper ➔ Choose the directory ➔ Choose a folder ➔ Choose a photo/wallpaper.
Once you have picked the image, tap Tap on Apply, then confirm with Tap on Set as Home screen. This applies the photo only to the home screen, leaving your lock screen wallpaper untouched.
Use this route whenever you need a wallpaper from a specific album or downloaded file rather than the built-in suggestions. The tap-and-hold shortcut is faster only if you are happy picking from the default gallery.
