Set Up Automatic Cache Clearing auf Xiaomi
MIUI can clear the cache automatically once your Xiaomi phone locks and enters standby. This frees up storage without manual cleanup and can help apps run smoother if temporary files were slowing things down.
The setting lets you choose how long the phone waits after locking before clearing cache: 1, 5, 10, or 30 minutes, or you can turn it off entirely with Never.
Where to find the setting
Open Settings ➔ Battery & performance ➔ Settings ➔ Clear cache when device is locked. Then pick a schedule under Choose In 1 / 5 / 10 / 30 minutes or Never.
A shorter interval like 1 or 5 minutes keeps storage tidier but can slightly increase battery use since the cleanup runs more often. A longer interval such as 30 minutes is gentler on the battery but lets more temporary data accumulate between cleanups.
If an app relies on cached data to load faster, for example maps or media apps, frequent clearing may make it reload content more often. In that case, a longer interval or leaving the setting on Never and clearing cache manually when needed is usually the better choice.
