Connect Manually to a Hidden Wi-Fi Network auf Xiaomi
A wireless network disappears from the Wi-Fi list mainly for two reasons: the router hides its SSID broadcast, or the signal is too weak for MIUI to detect it reliably. Both cases need the same fix on a Xiaomi phone: adding the network manually with its exact name and security details.
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi ➔ Tap on Add network. MIUI then asks for the SSID, which must match the router's network name exactly, including capitalization. Depending on the router's encryption, you also select the correct security type (for example WPA/WPA2/WPA3) and enter the matching password.
Confirm with Enter the appropriate data ➔ Tap on Save. If the SSID or password contains a typo, MIUI will show a connection error or keep retrying without success.
This manual method only helps when the network actually exists and is in range. If the phone cannot connect even with correct data, the issue usually sits on the router side, such as MAC filtering or a full client list, rather than in the phone's Wi-Fi settings.
