Adjust Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness in Camera auf Xiaomi
Every photo taken with the Xiaomi Camera app is processed through three image adjustments before it gets saved: Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness. These sliders are not part of a filter or editing tool; they sit in the camera's own settings and apply to every shot taken afterward, in both photo and video mode.
Contrast controls the difference between the darkest and brightest areas of an image. Pushed toward Highest, shadows get deeper and highlights get brighter, which can lose detail in both extremes. Saturation controls color intensity across the whole frame, not just specific colors, so raising it affects skin tones exactly like it affects skies or foliage. Sharpness only sharpens edges during processing; it cannot recover detail lost to motion blur or low light, and pushing it too high tends to add visible noise around edges instead of real detail.
To reach these controls, open Camera app ➔ menu ➔ Settings ➔ Contrast, Saturation or Sharpness ➔ an option. Each slider is independent, so you can raise Contrast while leaving Saturation and Sharpness untouched.
If your photos already look accurate in most lighting, leave all three sliders on their middle level. Adjusting them mainly helps when a specific scene, like overcast outdoor shots or dim indoor lighting, consistently looks off across many photos rather than just one.
