Create a Contact Group auf Xiaomi
Group texts and per-group ringtones on a Xiaomi phone only work once MIUI knows which contacts belong together. Without a group, every message has to be sent one by one, and every incoming call uses the same default ringtone no matter who is calling.
MIUI solves this with labels inside the Contacts app. A label works like a folder: once contacts sit inside it, you can pick the whole label when writing a group message or when assigning a ringtone, so the phone rings differently for family, friends, or coworkers.
To build one, open Tap on Contacts, then Open the Menu, and select Tap on Create label. Enter a name for the group and confirm with Enter a Name and tap OK. Finish by tapping Add a contact to add members and picking every person who should belong to the group.
A contact can sit in several labels at the same time, so the same number can appear under both Work and Family. If you only need to message a few people once, selecting them directly in the Messages app is faster than building a permanent label.
