Assign Custom Button Shortcuts auf Xiaomi
On Xiaomi phones, gestures like double-pressing the power button or holding a volume key trigger a fixed system action by default. If that behavior does not fit how you use your phone, you can remap each gesture to a different function.
The setting sits under Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Button shortcuts. From there, pick a function such as Launch camera, Take a screenshot, Launch Google Assistant, Turn off screen, Turn on torch, Close current app, Open split screen or Show menu, then use Choose a Gesture/Button shortcut to attach it to a specific press pattern.
Each gesture can only carry one function at a time. Assigning torch to double-press power removes whatever action was linked there before, usually the camera shortcut.
If a shortcut stops reacting after you change it, another app with an active accessibility service or a custom launcher may already be intercepting that same button combination. System-level gestures lose priority in that case.
Shortcuts like Open split screen or Show menu also depend on the app you are currently using. Even with the gesture set correctly, apps without split-screen or menu support simply ignore the signal.
