Delete an APN Entry auf Xiaomi
Access Point Names tell your Xiaomi phone how to connect to your carrier's mobile network. If you switched SIM cards, changed providers, or typed an APN wrong, an outdated or incorrect profile can stay saved on the device. MIUI sometimes keeps using that old entry, which leads to failed data connections, missing MMS, or a SIM card that only works for calls.
Deleting the unused APN removes the conflict without affecting your Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other network settings. This is the right fix when mobile data drops after a SIM swap, when you see two similar APN entries in the list, or when your carrier sent you a new configuration and the old one is still active.
To remove an APN on your Xiaomi phone: Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on SIM cards & mobile networks ➔ Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM) ➔ Tap on Access Point Names ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on More ➔ Tap on Delete APN.
If deleting the APN does not restore mobile data, check whether the SIM card itself is active with your carrier before changing any other network setting. Restarting the phone after the deletion also helps MIUI apply the change immediately.
