Delete a Folder from the Home Screen auf Xiaomi
On a Xiaomi home screen, a folder behaves like any other icon. There is no dedicated delete option hidden inside a settings menu, and no long-press context menu entry labeled Delete.
Instead, MIUI treats the folder itself as a draggable object. You remove it the same way you would remove a single app icon from the screen.

Tap and hold a Folder ➔ Drag the Folder onto the Remove-Button ➔ Release the Folder to remove it
Holding the folder icon activates the edit mode you normally see when rearranging apps. A Remove option appears at the top or bottom of the screen once you start dragging. Move the folder onto that button and lift your finger to confirm.
This behavior is identical across current MIUI versions, so it does not matter which update your phone is running.
If you only want the folder gone but keep every app on the home screen, drag each app out of the folder individually first. Once the folder has no apps left inside, MIUI removes the empty container automatically without needing the Remove button at all.
Choosing the drag-to-remove method instead of emptying the folder manually is faster when you also want to get rid of every app inside it, since it removes the folder and its contents from the home screen in one motion.
