Delete a Single SMS Message auf Xiaomi
Deleting an entire conversation in the Messages app removes every message in that thread at once, including ones you might still need. MIUI lets you remove a single message instead, leaving the rest of the conversation untouched.
This works because each message inside a thread is stored as a separate entry, not a linked chain. Tapping and holding a message selects only that item, so it can be removed on its own.
When to use this instead of deleting the whole thread
Use single-message deletion when a text contains a one-time code, an accidental send, or outdated information, but the rest of the conversation still matters. Deleting the full thread would remove context you may want to keep.
Open Tap on Messages ➔ Choose a Conversation, then Tap and hold a Message you want to remove. Tap Tap on Delete, then confirm with Tap on Deleteto confirm.
This removal only affects your own device. The other person still has their copy of the message unless they delete it themselves. The Messages app has no function to remove a message remotely from someone else's phone.
On some MIUI versions, you can tap additional messages after the first one to select several at once before confirming. If most of a conversation is outdated, deleting the entire thread is faster than removing messages one by one.
