Disable Navigation Bar Per App auf Xiaomi
The navigation bar with Back, Home and Recents stays visible in every app by default, even when it only gets in the way. This is common in games played in landscape mode, where a stray tap near the bottom edge can trigger an unwanted Back action and throw you out of a match.
MIUI has a dedicated function that automatically disables the navigation buttons inside apps you choose, without switching to gesture navigation for the whole phone. The setting applies per app, so you keep normal navigation everywhere else and only hide the bar where it actually interferes.
Where to find the setting
Open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Button shortcuts ➔ Tap on Automatically disable navigation buttons. From there, Choose an app from the list and set it to Ask to disable, Always disable or Never disable.
Always disable hides the bar every time you open that app. Ask to disable shows a prompt the first time you launch it, letting you decide on the spot. Never disable keeps the navigation bar visible as usual.
If you rely on quick app switching or one-handed navigation, leaving system-critical apps on Never disable avoids extra friction while gaming apps stay distraction-free.
