Turn Off Screen Lock auf Xiaomi
Removing the screen lock on a Xiaomi phone means the display unlocks with a swipe, without asking for a pattern, PIN, or password.
MIUI still requires you to enter the current unlock method once before it lets you switch it off. This confirms you own the device and prevents an accidental change.
Where to find the setting
Open Settings ➔ Passwords & security ➔ Screen lock. Enter your current Pattern, PIN, or Password when asked, tap Turn off screen lock, then confirm with OK.
After this step, the phone no longer asks for authentication when you wake the display. Notifications, apps, and stored data become visible to anyone who picks up the device.
This setting only makes sense in low-risk situations, for example while testing a spare device or during setup at home. On a phone with banking apps, messaging accounts, or saved passwords, keep at least an authenticated lock method active instead of removing protection completely.
If Face Unlock or Fingerprint Unlock was linked to the screen lock, both stop working once you turn it off, since they rely on the same security layer.
